How To Get Water Out Of Charging Port? [2022 – 2023]

How To Get Water Out Of Charging Port? Although the Industrial Revolution has contributed to humanity in many ways- some negative, but mostly positive- it’s undeniable that one of its most important contributions was bringing new devices and sources of energy into everyday life.

This thing we call electricity has many names like electronics and power supplies. These things are really good at doing what they’re supposed to do – but sometimes they break down.

Water, when in contact with circuitry, can ruin these electronics by shorting it out and bricking it completely.

On the other hand, in order to operate at their optimal level, these devices also need power from their chargers plugged into outlets for batteries to recharge over time as well.

Unfortunately, due to its design flaw, when any form of liquid gets into it—big or small – it spells trouble for your device.

If you are reading this article, then I assume that you were the unfortunate individual who was affected by so much water that now needs to be removed from the phone jack.

Don’t worry; all will be sorted out in no time, just scroll below and you’ll be back up and running before long.

Keep these Things in Mind

A few things to keep in mind would surely help out.

1. Don’t Panic

When you are faced with an issue involving your prized possession, whether it’s a mobile phone or laptop, take a deep breath and step back before rushing to judgment.

During flight-or-fight mode, the human brain tends to make quick, rash decisions. Taking a deep breath and calming yourself down will help you assess the situation more clearly. With this mindset, you can assure yourself that if needed, you can do some damage control all on your own.

2. Please Turn off Your Device

As discussed before, if it is your laptop or mobile phone that has gotten wet, you will notice they all behave the same.

To avoid any damage or even stop the moisture from doing irreparable harm to your electronic equipment, turn it off quickly.

When your device has been exposed to water, you shouldn’t touch it or attempt to power it up again until you’ve taken it apart and dried all the pieces thoroughly.

3. Avoid Unnecessary Tools

It is advised that you avoid using needles or cotton swabs when performing this sort of clean-up work because they can actually make the problem worse than it was before.

As these devices can easily become jammed, broken, or even get lodged inside the port and make everything worse – always take care to handle them with gentleness and finesse.

4. Don’t Shake it

‘Shake it till you make it means something different to everyone. There is a chance that water droplets spilled on your phone can seep into the circuitry from just shaking it – and nobody wants to have wet electronics in their lives.

How do you empty water from your phone?

1. The solution is silica gel pouches! That’s right, silica gel pouches!

Yes, you read that right! Do you know those silica gel packets that are inside every medication bottle? Well, they do more than just protect your medications from getting wet or humid.

These silicon gel pouches create a pull for any kind of moisture in the air or close-by items, so they’re great at their job.

Try putting your phone inside a zip lock bag and filling it with Silicon Gel Pouches you can buy from a medical store to make them work even better.

2. Place in a Rice Bowl

It’s no secret that in dire cases, there are some bits of rice that can enter the crevices of your device; but what would you rather have happened? Would you rather have your phone die on you? Or would you prefer to take time out of your day to clean off just a little bit of dirt from it?

If you’re not familiar with this technique, all you need to do is place your phone in a zip-lock bag and let it absorb any excess moisture from the device.

3. Use A Blow Dryer

Even though it’s not the best way to remove any moisture or droplets that may have fallen from the charging port, it does the trick.

With different heating options for your blow dryer, it is best to avoid using the hottest setting because this could potentially damage anything around you including your hair.

4. Let It Evaporate

One of the simplest ways to dry out a wet phone is by letting nature do its work. Evaporation will take care of getting rid of water droplets or excess moisture from your device in no time, so there’s no need for hazardous measures.

Be aware that this process does not happen quickly and it may take an hour or two to evaporate, depending on how hot the ambient temperature is.

5. Service Centers or Repair Shops

It is strongly recommended that you take your phone or laptop to your local repair shop and let the professionals handle it for you.

Furthermore, if you are lucky enough, you can take your item back to the original manufacturer’s repair center where they will fix the problem for little cost – but if this is not possible, then you may need to fork out some money; nevertheless, this will only take a short while.

Final Thoughts

I can wholeheartedly understand that these sorts of things can take a toll on people, especially if the device is expensive or has important data. However, no matter what you do – never panic.

Panic will only make things worse for everyone involved and ruin any chance of getting through this difficult situation together.

Follow my instructions about how to get water out of the charging port, and you’ll be able to fix your device in no time. Remember, always stay safe and protect your devices from damage caused by various risks like inflation—don’t spend extra money on things that can easily break!
